Farm Guru is only 25 Kms. away from Chennai and can be reached in less then an hour by road. On the Grand Northern Trunk Road, shortly after the toll plaza at Redhills, the farm, in Athur Village near karanodai,is just a couple of Kms . off the highway. But, when you drive in through the gates,it feel like having left civilisation behind, a long long time ago.

Neat classrooms, modern teching aids, and clean toilets-in both Indian and western styles,complement the rustic charm of the farm. Our guests get to learn new things while staying in the comfort zone they are used to.

Constant supervision by our instructors and the watchful eyes of our even more experienced farmhands will keep our young guests out of harm’s way, on matter what the mischief they can think up.

Before the sun reaches overhead ,the children are taken around by our Farm Gurus.They learn about ‘ transplanting ‘as they walk around the paddy fields,and about crop rotation and intercropping by the time they cross the vegetable patches.

They will realise the economic and ecological importance of farm animals ,as they walk past the cattle shed ,and if the group is lucky, they may even spot a snake slithering by, and learn why predators are a vital part of the farm ecosystem and the rolethey play in controlling pests like rodents.

Knowledge is like a garden .if it is not cultivated ,it cannot be harvested.
